When Tim McGraw’s song “In My Next 30 Years” started playing on the radio I had already celebrated my 41st Birthday. I liked the song and the ideas expressed but I am not one to go backward. Planning ahead, I adopted the expression “In my next 50 years!” when speaking about future plans.
After so many birthdays we start realizing that we have more of our life behind us than in front of us. This idea is more energizing than deflating to me.
Let’s make the time ahead of us important. Let’s not waste it by saying “Yes” to things that we really don’t want to do. Let’s figure out what is important to us. If not now, when? Let’s be creative. Let’s spend more time with those we love. Let’s learn something new. Let’s explore new places. Let’s make today an opportunity and a gift.
That is how this Blog came to be.
